She would grow up with her siblings playing in the parks that were made secure by Militech's smothering presence. However, for a child and teenager, this highly secure upbringing created a great sense of security that would soon create boredom when she reached the age of 19. History:

Far removed from the mad, tech-crazed scramble that is Night City, the city of Charleston South Carolina followed a much different path. It's history as a center for education for both military and civlilians, as well as its ties to much of American history, drew the eye of the ever growing Militech to turn the city into its own corporate academy and stronghold. Due to its ties with the American government, Charleston was transformed following the collapse with Militech money. After several generations, almost all residents of the city would be employees of some level in the Militech Corporation, or students attending the subsidized schools in the city for Militech education. It would be here that Captain Robert Bulloch would settle down to serve as an instructor at the Citadel while his wife, Martha, became a Professor of History at the College of Charleston. Both historic institutions underwent tremendous renovations when Militech gained access to the entire city's facilities and subsidized much of the industries and schools.

Arabella, as well as her brothers and sisters, would grow up sheltered from much of the madness that struck the world following the Corporate Wars and Unification War. Charleston's location left it as not a tremendously strategic target for military objectives, and was far removed from the front for enemies of Militech and the NUSA to have attacks effect it anyway. Arabella Bulloch would grow up in a lavish house issued to her family by Militech located near her mother's workplace in the Historic District of Charleston. The rest of Charleston would turn into the urban dystopia typically expected from any metropolitan area, yet the Historic District remained preserved under ordinances from both NUSA Government, and Militech, trying to create an atmosphere for the corporate subsidized schools.

Life in this tourist attraction of a city district was rather idyllic for Arabella, as well as her brothers and sisters. However, as she grew to a teenager, she would grow increasingly bored of it. Militech had a smothering presence of security to preserve the idyllic image by not allowing any room for crime. Yet, for Arabella, this was a smothering of possible excitement. A part of her wished she grew up in those war-torn towns and cities out West where, as she saw it, proper excitement was being had. Life in Militech's Charleston was not challenging or stimulating for her. So, shortly after she turned 19, Arabella would take all the belongings she could pack and carry, took all her designated funds from her family's bank accounts in Militech and moved them to a private firm, and ran away from home. Her journey would have her rapidly cross the continent where she would end up at Night City. For her, this city presented an opportunity for struggle and excitement she craved.
Upon reaching Night City, her funds would go to more private bank accounts that her parents could not leverage. She then looked to understand who the players of power in the city were and what would be the surest way to climb to the top. Something was awakening in the young Arabella Bulloch. Originally, this sheltered corporate girl would turn into a ruthless ladder climber. The young girl of Charleston's Militech's corporate dominion was practically gone. It was then she decided to go by "Red" rather than use her real name. What she found was that the life of a corporate worker would give her the same boredom like that of her childhood home. So, she took to working the streets. The streets of Night City were not short on gangs, and many showed potential to build her criminal resume as a way to secure a growth to enough power to lead a life of the excitement she craved so badly she ran away from home for it.

There was one gang that caught her attention most. While it did reside in the regions of the city near the edges of the Combat Zone, it appeared to use that location on the threshold of madness to cloak its activities. In it, she would learn alongside another man, @Remy LeBlanc. He was a kindred spirit from the Southeast NUSA. Though, while she was a young runaway debutante from Charleston, he was a man who grew up in the near-no-man's-land that was the Louisiana Bayou. This shared heritage of being from the two side's of the American South's coin created a brother-sister bond that existed for the two's careers while they both utilized the gang to grow their own influence.

Life associated with this gang was not too bad. Arabella would become accustomed to the incredibly chaotic life of working with those considered the scum of the city. While many would see such a life as unsavory and bloody, the then 20 year old Arabella seemed to be as excited as a child with a new toy. Such madness was what she looked for. For her, it was a rush to live a life where your days were not guaranteed, where any day her life could get snuffed out for any reason at all in the most violent yet spectacular fashion. It would be during this time she would become implanted with some more advanced pieces of cyberware using her payment cuts for the gang. All the while she would use her feminine whiles, or the appearance of such, to coax information about possible jobs for the gang to earn her keep. There were deeds done in this line of work to get information for the gang that her parents would not approve of in the slightest. However, she found it thrilling and fulfilling in a twisted way.

By the time she was 23, she was well established in the gang with her Cajun counterpart creating a two-fold team to get information for the members of the gang's operations. Her reputation for "looseness" was starting to grow, yet many considered her to be the gang's working girl rather than one of two fixers. Business was good, however Arabella wanted more. Things were getting to stable, and too safe, within the gang's workings. Such threats that happened earlier in her career with this gang were far more reduced thanks to success, and the eddies flowed as well as they could for a well-off (but still low level) street gang. That would be until a large score presented itself. It seemed too good to be true, and so the gang did all the preparation work needed for such a big target. The eddies promised would make it all worth it in the end if it could work. However, despite all their prep work, the job went for the worst anyway. Without much though, Arabella would cut tail and run from the gang as fast as possible leaving the man she grew much appreciation and fondness for in her wake alongside the corpses of the gang members and the scant other survivors.
Following the destruction of the gang she grew her street credibility with, she took to working at a low-level night club in Watson. For her, she was still using her ever honing charm to coax information from the patrons however she could to give to her boss. Her knack for finding patrons that gave her boss much valuable information earned her a place at her boss' side after a two year period of rapid turnover in her new boss' inner circle. For her, circumstance and growing talent would culminate in her advancement. Her less than savory methods of gaining information from patrons, as well as keeping her superiors satisfied, also is likely to have contributed to such a rapid rise. The relatively high profile of this operation continued her thrill and rush of excitement that she craved more than any addict would to dorph. The fact her deeds would then go rewarded only served to reinforce this desire for such a rush.

Several years would pass of her doing such work. However, all the while, she would try to stack the deck for her advancement even more. She was not content to just be some night club working girl that happened to have the boss' attention in more ways than one. She wanted the club and more. She wanted it all. She did not care how much she would have to exploit the desires of powerful men around her to get there. Thus, she would create blackmail against some of her boss' managers while also growing ties with the other women working at the club. For her, she seemed to take on a slightly maternal role for the working girls of the club due to her high position in the ranks of such employees. In the end, she nearly had it where if her boss was out of the way, almost all control of the club was hers. All it took was to stack the deck ever more in her favor for when that time came. All the while, she would spend the years entrenching her position through favors and making an image of incredible hospitality within the more conventional realm. For her, the trap was set, yet she needed to wait for her boss' foot to step in it.

That day would eventually come shortly before the present day. Her boss would be driving in the vicinity of the Combat Zone to meet with a dealer for some substance that would make patronage at the club even more to liking. Yet, the one who gave him this tip was Arabella herself. Much of this was staged with her boss and his loyalists being none the wiser until it was far too late. On one hand, many would call her lucky. However, at the age of 27, she spent the last four years setting this operation up with every minute detail attended to with how much her life depended on it. All that was reported on the news was that a club owner in Watson was gunned down in his car by a gang from that retreated into the Combat Zone. All valuable possessions were stolen from the corpses and car. Almost all cyberware was removed from the corpses as well, making people believe it was a gang of scavengers and rippers. In some capacity, that would not be terribly far from the truth to those who only were in on this plot.

However, to nearly all in Night City, a club owner from Watson was gunned down and stripped for parts in his car on the edge of the combat zone. The perpetrators retreated into the chaotic region of the city where tracing them would be almost impossible without an expensive effort from NCPD. After spending all the past years employed at this club entrenching herself, no one was alive or powerful enough to stop her from seizing control. Thus, the name Red Bulloch became known as the newest club owner in Watson. While still not as prestigious as more established and grander establishments, the club still pulls a wide range of clientele looking for a unique and fresh experience to Night City's entertainment scene. Under Arabella, the club was transformed into a structural form of the juxtaposition she possessed. A combination of old world style and appearance of classiness, yet a hidden layer of present day debauchery and ruthlessness. She had the club renamed to "The Parlour" in reference to this vineer of class portrayed in its theme. Patrons experience a place that looks right out of the Old South with decour with elements of the technology one cannot avoid showing in the seems. All the while, Arabella runs this club as a hub to collect and sell information with a network of brand new employees. All can be gained or lost in the blink of an eye in this position, and Arabella "Red" Bulloch is loving every second of this precariousness.
