Name: Hanzo Arasaka
Alias/Handle: The Otoroshi
Age: 26
Ethnicity: Japanese
Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan
Appearance:
Hanzo is the oldest child and only son of Arasaka Bunto, and the eldest grandchild of Arasaka Jun. Jun was the younger and much less noted brother of the Arasaka family patriarch, Saburo. For most of his life Jun went by unnoticed, even from his older brother. He was meek, lithe, and quiet. All characteristics that stood in staunch contrast to his more domineering brother. Still, Jun had a tale to be told in the rise of the Emperor. Jun took an active interest in the personal well being of his family. He arrived to ensure that all of the family were physically, mentally, and spiritually fit for the demands that the world would bring upon them. Jun was considered dutiful and thorough in his duties. Although there were many duties that most thought of as "lesser" he prided himself, above all, in knowing his place in the grand machine of the Arasaka Corporation. In death, in the year 2000, Jun was succeeded by seven children, each sharing his passion for overseeing the wellness of the family.
These tasks included security, wellness, nutritional counseling, cybernetic screening and research, spiritual guidance, mentorship for the younger children, and much more. It was believed that these paths of life should be kept in the hands of the family at all times. However, what was an honored position has since fallen into shame due to the acts of Hanzo's father, Bunto. Bunto was everything his father was not. He was a man of excess and vice. He lived only to please himself and his duties to the family, what few he fulfilled, came last. It was this lifestyle which forced the hand of Saburo Arasaka. The dishonor that Bunto brought the family in Japan could not be accepted. For his transgressions Bunto's family would be forever banished from stepping foot within Japan without the expressed permission of the family head. They would be sent off to Night City where they would continue to serve the Arasaka interests there, but not as leaders or stewards. They would remain servants to the main family, whenever they were present in the city. When they were not, Bunto's branch family would be seen as little different from any other employees of the company.
