Guide to Currency: Eddies (Eurodollars)

"Eddies", officially known as Eurodollars or sometimes as "Eurobucks", are the primary currency used on the site. They serve as a versatile tool for in-character (IC) interactions and storytelling. Here's a quick guide on how to use, earn, and manage your Eddies.

How to Pay Another Player or Character

  1. Access the Credits System:
    • Click on "Credits" in the site menu, then select "Eddies."
  2. Send Payment:
    • Hit the "Donate" button.
    • Enter the recipient's character name and the amount you want to pay.
  3. Confirm the Transaction:
    • Once completed, the Eddies will be transferred to the other character's account. Easy as that!

Uses for Eddies

  • Night Market Purchases:
Spend Eddies on items like weapons, cyberware, or gadgets in the Night Market. It's a great way to expand your character's arsenal or resources.
  • Storytelling Tool:
Use your Eddies IC to bribe a fixer, secure a gig, or fund your next big heist. The currency adds depth and realism to your roleplay.
  • Flexibility:
The credits system represents your personal wealth, not the wealth of your company, gang, or organization. Keep this in mind to avoid overextending resources.

How to Earn Eddies

  • Complete Gigs:
Finish a mission or a job thread and get paid for your efforts.
  • Receive a Paycheck:
If your character has a stable job (e.g., corporate exec, mercenary, or techie), you can claim monthly income.
  • Corpo Deals or Group Payouts:
If your gang, company, or faction earns money through a storyline, split the cash IC with other members.
  • Submitting for Income:
    To claim earned Eddies:
    • Visit the "Income Guide and Updates" thread.
    • Fill out the provided template with details about the thread or job.
    • Submit it for approval by Site Staff to receive your payout.

Have Fun, Keep It Flexible

The Eddies system is designed to enhance your roleplay and add stakes to your character's financial decisions. While not a strict system, it encourages creativity and collaboration. Use it wisely to shape compelling narratives and dynamic interactions!
