Standing at 6'0, with a lean, muscular build- Jack stands apart from most citizens of Night City, due to the fact that he is an unaugmented human. With no chrome or fancy bits, Jack is noticeably different than other Officers in NCPD, and most citizens of Night City.
Background:

Parents: Father works on oxygen processing machines and his mother ensured seals remained tight on EVA vehicles.
Childhood Environment: Mars was cold, brutal, but ultimately, in some cases, better off than Night City. Not wanting for much but desiring more, Mars' environment made Jack as tough as he is.
Personality:
Kind-hearted and empathetic- but when pushed, is ruthless, callous and sometimes cruel. In his pursuit of Law Enforcement, he is able to put aside empathy at times, especially when it comes to violent criminals. He is generally however, regarded as warm and kind-hearted. His sense of humor is eclectic and varied, but very dry and comes often, like most Eastern European men.
He is proud of his Soviet heritage, and frequently speaks to his family, both in the USSR and on Mars.

Story to Date:
A former Soviet Citizen, born on Mars- Jaroslaw, who was given the name "Jack" in the NCPD Academy, is the son of two Polish Catholics, who's family lineage was among the first to colonize Mars. However, deteriorating economic conditions prompted his family to move back to Mars. Originally a Peacekeeper in the Soviet territories and settlements on Mars, Jack was quick to be put into employment by NCPD after him and his family returned to Earth several years ago.
Now a NCPD Officer of three years, Jack is somewhat comfortable with the goings-on of Night City, and is, by NCPD standards, experienced- and long-lived in some areas. He's fast, he's smart-
And, unlike most Americans and Night City residents, and like most Soviet citizens.... unchromed. Unaugmented.
After a bank robbery that pitted him against a Cyberpsycho, Jack dispatched not only well over half a dozen armed robbers, but also the Cyberpsycho in question. A normal, unaugmented beat cop took down a Cyberpsycho in Night City. The incident catapulted Jack to the forefront of NCPD's promotion list, and VICE quickly scooped him up, favoring his aggressive action and recognizing his ability to face threats head-on.
